Puddle Jumper Gym Bag...the perfect holiday gift!

Silly Bandz!

Silly Bandz are all the craze here in this area. What are they? They are silicone bands that form into shapes when not being worn. They are worn on the wrists, some kids are wearing the suns around their head from the basic shape collection. There are five different shape sets:

Holiday Shopping at Two Sisters Gallery

We are rounding out our holiday orders with great products from Woodstock Windchimes, Danielson Designs, Earthlust, Ne'Qwa, MudPie, Switchflops and more! I've been putting up orders this week so I'm a day late on the blog posting. The first really great product that we received are the stainless steel water bottle for cold beverages. Switchflops Ballet Flats at Two Sisters Gallery

Well...the size 8 Switchflop Ballet Flats arrived on Wednesday and of course, I wear a size 8 so I finally have a pair of the new Liz Ballet Flats that we received a couple of weeks ago. Since I'm a little more contemporary, I immediately took the flower off that comes on it and replaced it with the silver Ila snap (see the photo to the right, which is the shoe I'm wearing today). Talk about cute!!! I was a little concerned about carrying the ballet flat because of the cost since many people complained last year that the kitten heel was expensive. Well, to me, the kitten heel is a heck of a deal, particularly at $48.95; add a few more straps and you have 4-5 pairs of shoes for LESS than $100. I guess I tend to look at the big picture. Anyway, when I got my Eddie Bauer and LL Bean catalogs, I noted that ballet flats are the HUGE thing [Switchflops obviously has a great marketing research team] and these companies are selling the ballet flats for $80 - $100 AND you can't change it! The ballet flat sells for $63.00 and with a couple of snaps at $12.00 you still have three pairs of shoes for LESS than $100. That isn't just a bargain, it's just cool!!!

I love my Switchflops and we've been carrying them for our third season now. We placed our order for Switchflops right after Lindsay Phillips introduced them at the Surf Expo. I've been hooked on my Switchflops ever since and they make travel SO easy, not having to lug around one suitcase with bunches of shoes. To make travel easier, we also have the Belleair Strap Hanger that folds up, then hangs when you get to your destination so you have ready access to all of the straps. Fragrance Your Home at Two Sisters Gallery

The cool, crisp air is the sign that Fall is upon us. I was driving to Birmingham to teach a class on Tuesday night and noticed all of the trees on the mountains with the changing leaves, it was beautiful! Some parts of the country have already experienced the change in the season, we're just a little slow this year here in Central Alabama. I always have candles burning in the store and this time of year, I always have something that brings the fragrance of Fall! Fragrances like McIntosh Apple, Pumpkin Pie, American Harvest, and Toasted Hazelnut to name a few. Holiday Shopping at Two Sisters Gallery

We are getting ready for the upcoming holidays with all kinds of great gifts ideas and items. I'll tell you, it can be really hard to predict what people want. My rep companies will tell me that something is hot, hot, hot at mart, we'll bring it in and it is not, not, not. So, sometimes I just go with my own instincts and it pays off or it doesn't. My sister and I tried the philosophy of buying things we liked, that way if we get "stuck" with it, we have something we like. Unfortunately that philosophy does not work either but we typically end up with it and well, that doesn't pay the rent! The crazy thing is, I teach e-commerce and online marketing classes at the college level and even I don't have it down, when it comes to what people want. LOL!!! Hopefully, I've done a decent enough job of selecting what people like and want this year. For the travelers you know, these luggage tags and matching luggage belts, personalize your luggage to make it easy to locate. I have the green belt [shown above] and the last few times I've traveled, grabbing my bag was much easier!

Of course, Pandora Jewelry continues to do well for us. I've put in some extra orders with Pandora so that I have the ultimately wanted holiday charms like the Snowman Charm, the Christmas Tree Charm, the Snowflake Charm, and the Angel. I keep selling out of the snowman charm, so people are stocking up on it for Christmas already. I will strive to continue to keep the holiday charms in as long as I can get them from Pandora!

Initial Gifting at Two Sisters Gallery

This has been a FUN week! We are starting to get all of our new stuff in for the holidays and Fall. Yesterday we got the new Liquid Therapy wine & martini glasses and the Swingers [Tennis] can cozies. These are the cutest items and would make great girlfriend, Bunko or even a gift for you. The martini glasses are funny and have sayings like, "It's Tini Time", "I Like it Dirty!" and "Got Vodka?". They came in a plastic container complete with ribbon, perfect for gifting. In the Liquid Therapy group, the wine glass, "Pick Me, Squeeze Me, Make Me Wine!" has grapes on it and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The wine glasses also come packaged ready for gifting.

We also received our new FLAX Fall/Winter line. On my...I can't WAIT for it to cool off enough to wear some of these items, particularly the winter white. The new FLAX line, which you can view under Fall at FLAX Designs is rayon so it has a dressy look and can easily go from office to dinner out.

I've been talking to vendors all week in preparation for new items that are shipping like the new Ballet Flats from Switchflops with the interchangeable snap. We have Earthlust coming, the aluminum water and drink bottles with beautiful artwork. We have Danielson Signs, Ne'Qwa, Munro Gifts [Faeries] and of course, I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of our PANDORA Jewelry Fall release.
